These actions will only drive your ex further away because they make you look and sound so out of control and no one is attracted to a person like that. Sure, you are heartbroken and its not wrong to admit that but dont go overboard and do all the things above.

Agree with your ex that breaking up is the best thing to do for now. This gives you time to heal emotionally and helps you do something about yourself that will cause your ex to come back. As time goes by you will probably get to talking about personal things. Then you can bring up the past and apologize for where you have gone wrong. Make your apologies without making excuses or shifting the blame. The most important thing you want to get across to your ex is that he or she is the best person in the world for you and that no one else can give you what he or she can. This makes your ex feel good. And only when he or she feels good will your ex come back to you.
