Raid Recovery can recover RAID arrays even without the original RAID controller present, making it possible to repaired failed RAID arrays created on a specific chip set or with a specific hardware controller even if the motherboard or controller are broken or unavailable. Raid Recovery automatically detects the exact type and brand of a RAID controller used to create the array being recovered.

Raid Recovery is full of high-tech features and technologies, including company's signature PowerSearch and LivePreview algorithms. PowerSearch allows users of Raid Recovery to recover over 230 types of files such as Office documents, compressed archives, email, pictures and multimedia files, even if the file system is unavailable or certain disks are missing from the array. The technology operates by scanning the entire disk surface in order to locate the beginning and end of each recoverable document.
